It's pretty rare I listen to this kind of music, since I'm more becoming a 'rock-chick' than a 'soul-queen' (I know many of you would argue this that Alicia's music isn't at all 'soul'), but well.. in my eyes it's like that. When I heard her first song "fallin", I "fell" for it right away! She 'had the beat' and seemed like something worth listening to. About a month later I was to find at her concert, which only proved the point I was just referring to (definitely worth listening to!) This girl had the most impressive vocals and could actually perform live! WOW! Unfortunately I felt a little 'left out' because I only knew her one song, and not the rest of it. Anyway, I still haven't got to her second CD, but I reached to her first. I figured it's not so much her music I'm into, more the person and her personality. This girl gives her everything to her fans, don't sell for sex (yet!), and does all her music herself! I think she deserves the fame she is riding on at the moment! Not so into her lyrics though, hoping that some day even this girl will stop 'repressing' and that way make her music more excessive.
