His Bright Light by Danielle Steel

This is the story about Danielle Steel's son herself, Nick Traina, about his life from he was borned till he (unfortunately) killed himself, already in an age of 19. Suffering from manic-depression, everyone in Nick's life including Nick himself, is fighting in order to make his life less of a struggle. It seems to be an ever-lasting battle for both him and his family. Danielle Steel is 'giving away her heart', telling us exactly how things were and how it felt like for her (as far as we know, of course), and it's something that EVEN MADE ME cry in the end. His life is also shown through his diary-entries and lyrics, showing his great talent for both music and writing. It's also something to look out for if you know someone manic-depressive, if you wanna learn and see it from another persons' point of view. This book is beautiful, theres really no reason why you SHOULDN'T read it. The book might seem a little "long and detailed" some places, but it is only Steel's way of explaining the situation as it felt like for her. She is being as honest as if you were someone truly close to her.

"No matter how much I put in the bank every day, I wake up broke every morning." Nick Traina

How To Be Good by Nick Hornby

This book is hilarious! From the beginning to the end- Nick Hornby is writing totally sarcastic and you just gotta love it! It's entertaining even when explaining the most simple 'every-day-life'. It's funny but superficial in a way that makes the 'serious' in life seem a little more.. unimportant! Anyway, this book is basically about a married couple hating on each other, the wife annoyed by her selfish and unfair husband. Than in the middle of all this, the husband meets with a 'healing-person', that changes him completely and his perspective on life is forever changed. All of a sudden the 'jerky' husband is turned into the supersensitive 'dream-guy', taking in homeless people on the street, being passionate with his wife, basically being the 'perfect husband' any women would dream of-- or?

Blue Diary by Alice Hoffman

I bought this book simply out of the title and what was written on the back of it. A mysterious novel about how one person's mistake can break down so many lives, yet still one's life forever. This book has great written details, making you feel like you were standing 'right there' in the middle of it all, watching everything as it's going on. It is about a "perfect man's" darkest past, about a girl that was raped and killed, and among all that the girl's "blue diary". This book is moving, powerful and honest. It shows each individual's personality, and you get to 'know' the place, the people, the situation, everything. It is like escaping from your own world into another. And the writer makes it feel like 'home'.

The Long Road Home by Danielle Steel

This book is extremely heart-broken and are most likely to fill your eyes with tears. It is about a girl's life all from when she was a little girl till she is a grown-up; her dark childhood-memories and how the past keeps haunting her in everything. As she is getting older, everything about her seems to be affected by it, her world is constantly shadowed by this hidden secret that is pulling inside of her. The book is depressing all from the beginning of, the main character keeps getting hurt, her life-story turning into more of a tragical one. Truthfully, this book was a little 'too' depressing for me sometimes, but still you should give it a try. The ending is kind of 'shallow', especially compared to the rest of the book, but in a whole this book is definitely worth it.
