Before I knew what this guy was 'all about', I had this wrong illusion that he was just like any other rapper, good with his mouth but had nothing whatsoever to say.. Today, I have a much different perseption about him. In my opinion, he is definitely one of the talented out there, and he's more than 'just a rapper'. The fact that he's dead however, did not 'hit me' until last year when asking one of my friends when his next CD would come out. Such a shame how someone as talented and "lyric-gifted" as he was, was to 'fall away' in such an early age. Not only did he write A LOT, but a lot of what he wrote at the same time had a 'message'. He also published the book "The rose that grew from concrete".. For some weird reason I still haven't got to that book, but I am actually right now at this very second ordering the book online! I've heard it's one of the greatest, and is definitely not a waste of time. This guy is to many 'still alive', because of everything that's left of him in his work and many accomplishments.

"Instead of being so metaphorical with the rhyme, I was encouraged to go straight at it and hit it dead on and not waste time trying to cover things... - Tupac
